The Unwavering Presence of God
In the stillness of the morning, doubts can creep in. It’s easy to wonder if God is still present, especially when life gets busy and our conversations with Him become infrequent. The weight of unconfessed sin can lead to feelings of hypocrisy, and the fear that God may have abandoned us.
A Gentle Reminder
But then, a gentle whisper echoes in my soul, “You’re still mine” (Romans 8:16). It’s a reminder that God has given me a new heart and a new spirit, and that He remains faithful even when I’m faithless. The Holy Spirit living within me is a guarantee of my inheritance, a hope of glory that cannot be shaken.
The Power of the Cross
As I reflect on my relationship with God, I’m drawn back to the foot of the cross, where Jesus paid the price for all my sins. The truth of His sacrifice fills my mind, and I’m reminded that He is the author and finisher of my faith.
A Promise of Permanence
Do you ever feel like God has left you? Take heart – He is still there, filling your mind, soul, and heart with His truth. The mystery of Christ living within us is a profound one, but it’s a reality that brings hope and comfort. The Holy Spirit will never leave us or forsake us, even when we’re faithless.
A Prayer of Gratitude
Lord, thank you for sending your Holy Spirit to be with me and in me. Thank you for being the author and finisher of my faith. Amen.
