**Surrendering Control: Finding Total Satisfaction in God**

As I stepped into my downtime, I felt a sense of freedom wash over me. For the first time in years, I didn’t have a looming deadline or a to-do list a mile long. I had no agenda, no plan, and no expectations. It was just me, God, and the quiet.

I spent my days basking in His presence, soaking up His goodness like a dry sponge. I surrendered myself to His gentle hands, allowing Him to work on me, to refine me, and to prune me. It wasn’t always easy; there were moments when the process felt painful, like a surgeon’s scalpel cutting away the dead parts of my heart. But I withstood the blows, and as I did, I began to see myself in a new light.

I realized that I had been numb to the state of my heart, going through the motions, doing just enough to get by. I was still trying to control the reins of my life, still running from the enemy within me. But in those quiet moments, I saw the truth: I had not fully grasped God’s love for me. I had not fully surrendered my all to Him.

As I reflect on that experience, I want to challenge you to do the same. Take a step back, breathe deeply, and ask yourself: Have you surrendered your all to God? Are you still trying to control the reins of your life? Stop for a moment, listen to the whispers of your heart, and let go.

When we surrender our control, we find total satisfaction in life. We no longer strive to be like everyone else, rushing from one task to another. Instead, we find ourselves satisfied with Him and Him alone. He is more than enough.

As we begin this new year, I pray that we would trust God’s guidance in our lives, that we would correct any steps that lead us away from Him and His purpose for us. May we not get so consumed with winning in other areas of our lives that we neglect the needful part.

Lord, help us to complete the race, to live a life of holy living, and to trust in Your guidance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
