As I reflect on the passing of time, I’m reminded of the fragility of our plans and the uncertainty of the future. Like a blank canvas, each new year stretches out before us, full of unknowns and unanswered questions. It’s a humbling reminder that, despite our best efforts, we’re not the masters of our own destiny.
I’ve often heard people tout the importance of being in control, but as I look around, I see a world that’s constantly spinning out of balance. It’s a sobering reality check that forces me to re-evaluate my priorities and focus on what truly matters.
As I step into this new year, I’m not relying on my own knowledge or carefully crafted plans. Instead, I’m anchoring myself to the one constant in my life: my relationship with Jesus Christ. This sacred bond is the foundation upon which I stand, guiding me through life’s twists and turns.
The journey ahead won’t be easy, but I’m holding fast to my faith – a faith that endures beyond the fleeting calendars of days to come. From the earliest whispers of humanity in the Garden of Eden to the dawn of each new year, God has been beckoning us towards a deeper relationship built on faith and obedience.
As I seek to grow closer to Him, I’m reminded of Jeremiah’s timeless words: “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” It’s a promise that resonates deep within my soul, urging me to pursue Him with reckless abandon.
In this new year, I’m choosing to let go of my need for control and instead, surrender to the One who holds the universe together. It’s a journey that requires trust, obedience, and a willingness to surrender to the unknown. But I know that as I seek Him with all my heart, I’ll find the guidance, peace, and purpose I need to navigate the uncharted territories ahead.
