**Stepping into the Unknown**
I’ll never forget the day my son shared a heart-pumping video of his friends taking the leap of faith – literally. They were bungee jumping, and the soundtrack was none other than “Let it Go” from Frozen. As I watched, the first jumper was carefully harnessed and guided to the edge of the platform. With a nervous glance at the camera, he asked the attendant, “Will you push me?” The response was firm: “No, you have to jump.”
In that moment, I felt his trepidation. Despite the safety gear, the reputable company, and the cheering friends, fear was palpable. It was as if his survival instincts were screaming, “Don’t do it!” As I imagined the seconds ticking by between his feet leaving the platform and the rebound, I realized that’s exactly what faith often feels like – a terrifying free-fall into the unknown.
But here’s the thing: when we take that leap of faith, we’re not alone. We have a constant guide and protector who has promised to be with us every step of the way. The rush of adrenaline that comes with living by faith is tempered by the solid foundation of God’s unchanging nature and promises.
As I reflect on my own journey, I’m reminded of the countless times God has protected and guided me through difficult times. And I’m grateful for the promise that He will continue to do so in the future. My prayer is that I’ll walk in confidence, trusting in His guidance and protection every day.
**Reflection**
Take a moment to review the ways God has been your rock in times of uncertainty. Thank Him for His faithfulness in the past and for the promise of His continued guidance and protection in the future.
