Stepping into the Unknown
Have you ever felt the rush of excitement mixed with a dash of fear as you stood at the edge of a new experience? Whether it’s learning to ride a bike, driving on the highway for the first time, or speaking in front of a crowd, we’ve all faced moments that test our courage.
The Deep End of Faith
The Bible reminds us of this feeling in Ezekiel 47:5, where the prophet describes a river that has grown too deep to cross. It’s a powerful metaphor for the journey of faith. Just as I hesitated to take my first plunge into the deep end of the pool after learning to swim, we often resist God’s call to move beyond our comfort zones.
Growing Deeper
God doesn’t push us into deep waters to watch us struggle; He wants to deepen our faith and grow our trust in Him. When we choose to stay in the shallow end, we miss the opportunity to witness His power and grace at work in our lives. It’s His way of preparing us for the next chapter in our walk with Jesus Christ.
Embracing the Unknown
Believing in God’s protection and care, we can find the strength to navigate life’s challenges. As we take the leap of faith, we’ll emerge on the other side with a newfound sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of how to stay afloat in turbulent times.
A Prayer for Courage
Father, I often ignore Your gentle nudges to try something new and unexpected. Please give me the courage to embrace the circumstances You place me in. Do not let fear hold me back from taking a step forward. Amen.
