Redemption from the Ashes
The will of God is clear: nothing is wasted in His hands. As Jesus reminds us in John 6:39, “I should lose nothing of all that He has given me, but raise it up on the last day.” This promise echoes in our daily lives, where we often encounter experiences, mistakes, and sins that feel like worthless trash.
From Waste to Resource
I was struck by the sign on a recycling truck in my neighborhood: “Transforming waste to resources.” It’s a powerful metaphor for Jesus’ work in our lives. He takes the discarded remnants of our past and transforms them into something valuable, a message of hope for others. When we surrender our brokenness to Him, He recycles it into a powerful tool for redemption.
The Power of Transformation
In Jesus’ hands, our mistakes become lessons, our failures become testimonies, and our darkest moments become beacons of light for others. But this transformation requires our willingness to surrender. We must hold out our garbage, our shame, and our fears to Him, trusting that He will recycle them into something beautiful.
A Call to Reflection
Take a moment to reflect on your life. Is there anything you’ve been trying to discard, to leave behind? Perhaps it’s a painful memory, a past failure, or a current struggle. Remember, Jesus can transform even the most broken parts of your life into something that serves others. Will you place it all before Him, trusting in His divine recycling and transformation?
A Prayer of Surrender
Jesus, I thank You that nothing is wasted in Your hands. I bring my brokenness, my shame, and my fears to You, trusting that You will transform them into something beautiful. Thank You for Your promise to raise me up on the last day, redeemed and restored.
