A Personal Encounter with the Divine
The Knock at the Door
Have you ever stopped to consider the significance of Jesus’ words in Revelation 3:20? “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” These words are an invitation, a call to action that can change the course of our lives forever.
Assuming Salvation
Many of us can recite Bible verses with ease, including the fundamental truth that “Jesus died to save us from our sins.” But have we truly made a conscious decision to invite Jesus into our hearts? This was the challenge Jennifer faced. As a minister’s granddaughter, she grew up in a Christian home, surrounded by the teachings of faith. Yet, she realized that her family ties and upbringing did not automatically guarantee her salvation.
A Turning Point
It wasn’t until Jennifer participated in a life-changing trip with her church’s high school youth group that she began to question her faith. She learned that being raised in a Christian environment did not exempt her from the need to make a personal decision to follow God. And so, on a starry night, Jennifer made the choice to invite Jesus into her heart.
The Question for You
Friend, take a moment to reflect on your own spiritual journey. Are you certain that Jesus Christ is present in your life? If not, now is the time to take action. Invite Him in, and experience the transformative power of His love and presence.
