Tuning In to the Still Small Voice
In the midst of life’s chaos, it’s easy to overlook the gentle whispers of our inner selves. As we rush from one task to another, our awareness of God’s presence can slowly fade into the background. It’s crucial to pause and reflect: “Am I growing or eroding in who I am becoming?”
The Wisdom of Vigilance
A wise woman recognizes the importance of being vigilant – watchful, alert, and observant. She keeps a keen eye on the future, anticipating potential pitfalls and dangers. By doing so, she’s able to tend to the small things in her life and relationships, knowing that these tiny details can add up to make a significant impact.
Mindful of Relationships
A vigilant woman is particularly attentive to her relationships, carefully nurturing them to ensure they remain strong and resilient. She’s quick to mend small tears and fissures, understanding that these efforts will yield long-term benefits. In her marriage, she strives to sow seeds of approval, appreciation, affection, and attention, cultivating a deep and lasting connection.
Walking Wisely
As we navigate our daily lives, it’s essential to heed the wise words of Ephesians 5:15-16: “Be very careful, then, how you walk… not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” By doing so, we can stay attuned to God’s gentle nudges, growing more aware and vigilant in our lives and relationships.
A Prayer for Wisdom
Dear Heavenly Father, I desire to be a wise woman, careful in how I walk and tend my relationships. Help me avoid the slow erosion that can occur when I become too busy. Remind me to prioritize building for the future, making the most of each day’s opportunities to nurture my relationships. In a world filled with distractions, help me stay focused on You and Your guidance. Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may be watchful and alert, guarding my heart and home. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
