Reflecting God’s Glory in Everyday Life
As I step out of my humble abode, the majestic sight of Pikes Peak unfolds before me. The snow-capped mountain, set against the brilliant blue sky, is a breathtaking reminder of God’s awe-inspiring creation. This natural wonder evokes a sense of reverence, prompting me to consider the intricate details of God’s craftsmanship.
From Mountain Peaks to Masterpieces
In Exodus 36 and 37, we read about the skilled artisans commissioned by God to create exquisite cups, ornate robes, and other masterpieces. These craftspeople were endowed with the Spirit of God, possessing wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and diverse skills. Their work was not just about creating beautiful objects; it was an expression of God’s glory and beauty.
God’s Glory in the Ordinary
Just as God reveals Himself in the grandeur of mountain peaks and the intricacy of well-crafted garments, He also desires to manifest His glory in our everyday lives. Whether we’re involved in monumental endeavors or quiet, behind-the-scenes expressions of love, God asks us to work with all our hearts, knowing that He accepts our service.
Finding Significance in Small Acts
Sometimes, I wonder if the small things I do really matter in the larger scheme of things. But God reminds me that every endeavor, no matter how seemingly insignificant, is valuable when done in His name and for His glory. As Colossians 3:23 encourages us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
A Prayer for Faithfulness
Lord, help me understand that You accept all my endeavors, no matter how small they may seem. May I work with all my heart, knowing that You are pleased with my efforts. In Jesus’ name, amen.
