The God of Glory: A Sovereign Deity
Majestic in Power, Infinite in Understanding
“Oh LORD God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O LORD, and your faithfulness surrounds you” (Psalm 89:7). The God of Glory, the Great God, the God of gods and Lord of lords, is a sovereign deity who reigns supreme over all creation (Acts 7:2; Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalm 99:9). His kingdom and power and glory will last forever, a truth that echoes throughout eternity (Romans 11:36; Matthew 6:13).
A God of Unparalleled Wisdom and Knowledge
This magnificent God is greatly to be feared, wonderful in counsel, magnificent in wisdom, and perfect in knowledge (Psalm 89:7; Psalm 90:11; Isaiah 28:29; Job 37:16). He is infinite in understanding, majestic in power, excellent in greatness, and divine in nature (Psalm 147:5; Exodus 15: 6; Psalm 150:2; Romans 1:20). His glory and power are awe-inspiring, a testament to His unparalleled wisdom and knowledge.
A Prayer of Reflection and Adoration
As we stand in awe of this glorious God, we are compelled to offer prayers of reflection and adoration. “Oh Father in Heaven, today I stand amazed in Your presence. You are glorious! You are above all things! From You and through You and to You are all things! Your kingdom and power and glory will last forever.” In His presence, we abandon our hearts and minds, surrendering to the power of His holiness and love. We trust in His infinite understanding, excellent greatness, and divine power, knowing that He alone can equip us for the tasks that lie before us.
A Life of Surrender and Praise
As we walk the path set before us, may we live for His kingdom and glory, establishing His reign in every aspect of our lives. May we continually offer praise and honor and glory to this majestic God, who is worthy of our adoration. In the strong name of Jesus, we pray, amen.
