Unleash Bold Prayer: Aligning with God’s Kingdom Purposes

Unleashing the Power of Bold Prayer

Recently, I stumbled upon a thought-provoking tweet from Leonard Sweet, where he shared a personal experience about his mother’s Bible opening to Psalm 91 after her passing. He then asked his followers, “Where does your Bible open itself?” I was inspired to take on the challenge and see where my own Bible would open.

A Surprising Revelation

As I let my small Bible fall open, it landed on Luke 11, a passage that focuses on Jesus’ teachings on prayer. Verse 8 stood out to me: “I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man’s boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.” This verse highlights Jesus’ emphasis on boldness in our prayers. It made me reflect on my own approach to prayer: Am I asking for the world? Am I stepping out in faith, seeking the miraculous?

Aligning Our Hearts with God’s Purposes

When we align our hearts with God’s purposes, He wants to work through us as we pray. He desires us to ask for brokenness to be restored, slavery to end, abuse to stop, and mountains to move. Jesus encourages us to be bold in our asking, trusting that God will respond to our faith-filled prayers.

Praying with Kingdom Focus

Today, let us focus our prayers on aligning with God’s kingdom. May we pray with boldness, asking for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. May our prayers be directed towards bringing about transformation and restoration in our world.

A Prayer for Boldness

Father, we want Your Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. Today, help me direct my prayers in such a way that Your Kingdom will come through me. May I approach You with boldness, trusting that You will respond to my faith-filled prayers.
