Unleashing an Extraordinary Faith: Trusting Jesus in Life’s Challenges

Living an Extraordinary Life in Christ

As children of God, we are called to live extraordinary, meaningful, and purposeful lives. Our faith is not meant to be trouble-free, but rather, it’s in the midst of challenges that we demonstrate our connection to Jesus.

The Power of the Holy Spirit

The Spirit in us is far stronger than anything in the world. This empowerment enables us to respond to hardship in a way that reflects the kingdom of heaven. We are not like those who are disconnected from Jesus, reacting with defensiveness, blame, shame, anger, hatred, pride, fear, and self-centeredness.

A Choice to Trust

When faced with problems, we have a choice: do we trust that Jesus is involved in our circumstances or not? Our response reveals whether we believe in his ability to understand the stress and danger of life. Jesus’ death on the cross is a testament to his capacity to empathize with our struggles.

Exposing Faulty Beliefs

When we respond from our human nature, we expose a deep, inner distrust of Jesus. However, Jesus’ goal is not to condemn us, but to reveal our faulty beliefs so we can abandon them and deepen our relationship with him.

Abandoning Distrust

By responding from the truth that we are connected to Jesus, we prove that we believe he is greater than the challenges we face. This trust allows us to move forward, knowing that Jesus is involved in our circumstances, guiding us towards an extraordinary life.

A Life of Purpose

God keeps us in the pressure-cooker of life so others can see how a life connected to Jesus confronts problems differently. As we submit to the divine nature working within us, we demonstrate our trust in Jesus, living a life that is meaningful, purposeful, and reflective of the kingdom of heaven.
