Pleasing God: The Key to a Life of Purpose

Pleasing God: The Ultimate Goal

In a world where opinions and criticisms can be overwhelming, it’s essential to focus on what truly matters. As believers, our primary concern should be pleasing God, regardless of what others think or say.

The Testimony of Enoch

Enoch, a biblical figure, had a remarkable testimony – he pleased God. This is not something we can claim ignorance about. We know that pleasing God comes from obeying His commands, and Jesus exemplified this in His ministry. Despite being rejected by men, God remained with Him, working miracles through Him.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

Similarly, God has enabled us to please Him by giving us the gift of the Holy Spirit. With this empowerment, we have no excuse for not doing the “greater things” He has promised for those who love and serve Him.

A Life of Purpose

What better goal can we have than to seek to please God in all we do? As we strive to live a life that honors Him, we can find purpose and meaning in our daily lives. As Dr. Bill Bright so eloquently put it, “I pray that Christ might be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death, I will seek to do only those things today which please Him.”
